We joined this project because we felt we wanted to give something back and seeing what a difference the programme has made to the child we hosted has been very satisfying. We have gained a tremendous sense of achievement from being involved.

Hosting a child has been a big commitment for us, but it has been incredibly rewarding and a fantastic experience. Our little girl is a part of our family now and will always have a place in our hearts and in our home.

We found the experience in the first year slightly nerve wracking, but it was all fine in the end and the other host families were very helpful and supportive. We will never forget our child’s face when she saw the sea for the first time!
